RACCOON element located a compound in which JACKPOT was hiding. Based on the secuirty posture of the compound it was decided to not carry out a direct attack.
After co-ordinating with FISH element it was decided to carry out an ambush at a bend in the road at [2070,1020] (ref NISHY NOVGOROD)

Confirmed KIA of JACKPOT after ambush. Target was travelling in white LANDCRUISER as expected. He was accompanied by a small convoy of vehicles which were previously spotted at the compound (multiple armed humvees etc).
Fierce firefight took place afterwards, FIA / AAF Defectors flooded the area.

After a sustained firefight, ION arrived at approx 1223 and provided support and extraction. This assistance was not requested by FROG.
