Instant AAR:
FROG taskforce assaulted the repurposed dump.
Left op MERCURY at around 0145, 15 minutes after H-Hour due to delays.
RHINO 1-1 and RHINO 1-2 arrived at their attack points at 0242L and 0253L respectively
AAF cruise missile struck objective GERMANY at 0301L. Two missiles were required, the first failed on launch. Barracks building was completely destroyed with numerous enemy combatants killed, as intended.
RHINO 1-1 and RHINO 1-2 both moved in, at 0306L a chemical release was spotted and therefore the MOPP level was increased to 4.
Main objective ITALY was secured at 0316.
Numerous firefights took place with the defending combatants.
After the compound was briefly secured a heavy re-enforcement arrived from the Oreokastro area, starting with numerous infantry and 3x technicals.
During initial inspection of the compound it became clear that it was being used for the manufacture of chemical weapons, not just explosives. An MRLS system was discovered, with rockets etc. Samples were taken for later analysis.
RHINO 1-2 headed to objective FRANCE to clear it out and were engaged. An FIA T34 arrived and around 0322L and engaged initially RHINO 1-2 and then RHINO 1-1 on objective ITALY.
At 0340 the tower of objective ITALY collapsed resulting in two friendly KIA.
At around 0345L it was decided to tactically retreat due to the overwhelming re-enforcement. Some evidence was collected, including photos and samples of the chemicals.
The retreat took approx 15 minutes to start, both RHINO teams collapsed on PARIS at 0359 to begin the full retreat.
On the return to op MERCURY both RHINO units were engaged by a vehicle on the road at around 0413L
Brief Conclusion:
Compound is being used to manufacture chemical weapons, and possibly store those weapons.
Tactical objective slightly failed, strategic objective of disrupting the supply of chemicals is partially complete.
